SPECIAL CATEGORIES

The Unsung Hero Award

This category is to recognise team members who are not in a customer-facing role, but whose energy, diligence and positivity light up the day and play an important part in a travel agency’s team spirit and success. If one of your colleagues brightens the lives of everyone in your team, store, or office, then we want to hear about them.

Nominees might be in back-office roles such as admin, marketing, legal, HR or accounts and could work in head office for an agency group, as well as in a high street branch or office-based agency. We’ll need you to explain in as much detail as you can how they go above and beyond to support their teammates and the business, and how they bring a positive attitude to work each day.

GUIDELINES:

Entrants should be nominated by a colleague or colleagues. The deadline to enter is midnight on Friday 27th February 2026. The judging period is 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2025 so try to give specifics during that period.

A TTG journalist might call you to ask some further questions. A judging panel will decide a shortlist and the winner. Five shortlisted individuals will be invited to attend the Top 50 ceremony on 23 April 2026, with a complimentary ticket to join the category sponsor's table. If you have any questions, please email TTG’s Tom Parry via tparry@ttgmedia.com

The Customer Service Champion

This award will recognise an individual agent who has gone to extraordinary lengths for one particular client/booking in the last year. If you or a colleague has gone well above and beyond to look after a customer in difficulty, a client with complex requirements, or to make an experience extra-special for your customer/s, please tell us all about it.

GUIDELINES:

Agents can nominate themselves or be nominated by a manager or colleague. The deadline to enter is midnight on Friday 27th February 2026. Entrants will need to ensure the booking/circumstances they talk about relates to the period 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2025.

A TTG journalist might call you to ask some further questions. Judges will decide a shortlist and the winner. Five shortlisted individuals will be invited to attend the Top 50 ceremony on 23rd April 2026, with a complimentary ticket to join the category sponsor's table. If you have any questions, please email TTG's Tom Parry via tparry@ttgmedia.com

The Tui Community Hero Award

This category, sponsored by Tui, is open to individual agents, as well as agency teams, who have worked hard in the last 12 months to give back to the local community and worthy causes either here in the UK or in overseas destinations to which we travel. That might include raising money, volunteering, successful partnerships, and giving opportunities to those that need them most.

GUIDELINES:

Agents/agencies can nominate themselves or others. The deadline to enter is Friday 27th February 2026. Please ensure the submission relates to the period 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2025.

Judges will decide a shortlist and the winner. Five shortlisted agents/agency representatives will be invited to attend the Top 50 ceremony on 23 April 2026, with a complimentary ticket to join Tui’s table. If you have any questions, please contact TTG’s Tom Parry via tparry@ttgmedia.com

The Intrepid Responsible Travel Champion

This category, sponsored by Intrepid, is open to individual agents, as well as agency teams, who have worked hard in the last 12 months to learn about and promote sustainable and/or inclusive travel to their customers - and to take steps to run their own business more sustainably and inclusively.

That might include taking part in training to educate themselves on different areas of sustainable travel and the issues surrounding how the industry can operate more environmentally-consciously, or training on how to provide better support to a colleague with additional needs, using more inclusive imagery in their marketing, or proactively recommending certain suppliers over others because of their sustainability and/or inclusivity credentials.

Responsible travel is a journey and we don’t expect any agency to feel that they are a true expert in this area – we’re simply looking for agents/agencies who are doing their best, and who are passionate about making a difference.

GUIDELINES:

Agents/agencies can nominate themselves or colleagues. The deadline to enter is midnight on Friday 27th February 2026. Please ensure the submission relates to the period 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2025.

Please be aware that if you are shortlisted for this award you will be required to take part in a short video interview with TTG and Intrepid in March (date TBC). The five shortlisted agents/agency representatives will be invited to attend the Top 50 ceremony on Thursday 23 April 2026, with a complimentary ticket to join Intrepid’s table. If you have any questions, please email TTG’s Tom Parry via tparry@ttgmedia.com
